Wikipedia Education Program/US-Canada/Join
Ready to join the United States and Canada Education Program? Beginning with the Fall 2012 term, professors will be accepted into the program on an application basis only. This process enables us to learn more about your plans so we can allocate our precious volunteer support resources accordingly. Read the FAQ for more information on the application process.
Step 1: Submit an interest form
If any of these reasons have you thinking about replacing a typical assignment with a Wikipedia one, please fill out this form to answer a few questions that will help us direct you to the right person and resources during your assignment design process. The questions should take you no more than five minutes to answer, and you should hear from a Wikipedia Education Program representative within one week.
Step 2: Complete the online orientation
After a Wikipedia Education Program representative receives your interest form, s/he will contact you to advise you on your assignment design process. Your contact will provide you with links and instructions for our online orientation as well as pointers about utilizing this great resource. The orientation will take you up to two hours to complete.
Step 3: Find a Campus Ambassador

Step 4: Submit your Education Program request form
The final step is a request form for the Fall 2012 term, which serves two purposes:
The Education Program still has limited resources, and classes must have at least one Campus Ambassador as well as a Wikipedian who will work with students on-wiki. The process of reviewing the request forms will help us distribute those limited resources and support as many professors as possible.
