Description
Nederlands: Op maandag 13 mei 2013 organiseerden de twee Nederlandse partners die meewerken aan het project Europeana Fashion (Centraal Museum Utrecht en het Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid) een edit-a-thon rond mode in samenwerking met Wikimedia Nederland en ModeMuze.

Tijdens deze edit-a-thon of schrijfdag maakten deelnemers nieuwe Wikipedia-artikelen over mode aan en werden bestaande artikelen verfijnd of vertaald, bij voorkeur in referentie tot de diverse modecollectie van het Centraal Museum.

Het doel van de edit-a-thon is om de op Wikipedia beschikbare informatie over mode te verbeteren en meer zichtbaar te maken - zowel voor nl.wikipedia.org als andere projecten.

O.a. studenten, modeconservatoren, onderzoekers, modebloggers en andere enthousiastelingen waren hierbij aanwezig.

Ervaring met het bewerken van Wikipedia was niet vereist: tijdens de edit-a-thon was een aantal ervaren Wikipedianen aanwezig om de deelnemers te begeleiden.
