Summary

Description
English: Lateral view of jumping in the terrestrial blenny, Alticus arnoldorum. Video was filmed at 250 fps. The full movement takes place in approximately 600 ms. This locomotor mode is similar to a hop, but the body is extended at a much higher velocity. Blennies can jump over 3 body lengths in one leap.
