Summary

Description
English: A movie of the 2D cross-sectional crypt model, where firstly the model is run at a steady state for 24 hours, and then mitosis is halted and the simulation continues for a further 24 hours. Proliferative epithelial cells are coloured yellow, differentiated epithelial cells are coloured pink, stromal cells are coloured green and labelled cells (those which were proliferative before mitosis was halted) are coloured blue. Grey cells are epithelial cells which undergo apoptosis randomly towards the crypt orifice.
