What idea do you want to bring to the W&E Greenhouse?

Describe the context, theme, goals, strategies, duration of your proposed initiative. Be as detailed as possible.

I want to train educators in Indonesia to use Wikipedia in the classroom to teach information literacy.

Who would you engage in your initiative?

Describe the kind of relationships you have or plan to establish with potential partners in your community, both in your local Wikimedia community and education community.

I am in touch with WM Indonesia, and 5 schools. I want to also engage a teacher training institution.

In terms of financial resources, how much money would you need to achieve your goals?

How will you know your project has succeeded?

Describe potential evaluation plans, indicators, tools, etc. that will help you identify if you have achieved your goals

Teachers are actively using Wikipedia as a learning resource in the classroom. Students understand the basics of the anatomy of a Wikipedia article, and how it's created.

What are the biggest challenges you foresee in the implementation of your idea and how would you address them?

Wikimedia projects belong in education because they help students learn vital skills for life, and students contribute diverse perspectives to open knowledge.

Why do you want to join the W&E Greenhouse?

Share your main reasons for applying, motivation, expectations, and what you would like to achieve by the end of this experience.

I really want to learn how to do this kind of project, and get support from the Education Team at the Wikimedia Foundation. The seed funding will help me make the project a success, as I don't have other opportunities for financial support. I'm excited about participating in the online course and community.

Where is your team located?

Keep in mind that all team members should be in the same location for the on-site visits from the WMF Education team. These visits will be scheduled in advance in consultation with the selected team.

We're not all located in the same city in Indonesia, our project will happen in the Kalimantan region and we will all travel there for the project implementation.

What languages does your team speak?

Please, keep in mind that for this first edition of the Greenhouse the main language of communication will be English.

We are all new to organizing. We have been to learning days at Wikimania, and have participated in edit-a-thons.
