- History & Geography
- Start year: 2010/2013. The wiki:team network of public speakers was founded by most of the Wikipedians that formerly took part in Wikimedia Deutschland's education programmes since 2010. After WMDE cancelled its activities in education in 2013, focusing on serving the OER community, we continued to pursue our mission on our own, providing speakers for training teachers, students at schools and universities, librarians and library users, the elderly, and the general public. Ever since, we co-operate with the volunteer-supporting department of WMDE. We focus on providing a critical point of view. We put an emphasis on media literacy and copyright law for (re-)using free content in education.

- Storytelling
Please tell us something special about your education program that the data may not reveal. For example:
- You could highlight an achievement you are particularly proud of: Wiki:team is proud of the fact that we did not succumb to Wikimedia Deutschland's decision to end explaining Wikipedia to educators altogether in 2013. If someone out there is interested in learning about Wikipedia – the processes, the people and the organisations behind it, how to write a Wikipedia article, and how to become a Wikipedian – we are still there and you can contact us easily. Lately, two members of the wiki:team took part in a meetup at Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 together with other Wikipedians interested in creating a portal for collecting material and best practices for Wikipedia events.
