Summary

Description
English: A typical sandy-bottom plunge-pool habitat selected by Moapa dace (Moapa coriacea). Also in the video are Moapa White River springfish Crenichthys baileyi moapae) identified by their square tail. Both species are thermal endemic, typically occurring in water temperatures from 26 to 32°C and are restricted to the headwaters of the Muddy River, Clark County, Nevada where the river originates from a series of thermal springs. Video provided by Pete Rissler (U.S. Geological Survey).
