Description
English: This video shows a woman who is sitting at the table in the correct position to take blood pressure. It is described in 6 steps that explain how you should be sitting:

Step 1: rest 5 min. before the measurement. Step 2: keep sitting with the straight back. Step 3: don't cross your legs during the measurement. Step 4: keep the arm at the same height as the heart. Step 5: be quiet and don't speak during the measurement. Step 6: keep the sphygmomanometer (bracelet) 3 cm separated from the elbow.

Advice: If you have been operated on a breast cancer or you are dialysis, you ought to measure your blood pressure at the opposite arm which you have your intervention.

Español: El vídeo muestra a una mujer que está sentada en la mesa en la correcta posición para la toma de presión arterial. Ésta está descrita en 6 pasos que explican cómo debería estar situado:

Paso 1: descanse 5 min. antes de la medición. Paso 2: permanezca sentado con la espalda recta. Paso 3: no cruce las piernas durante la medición. Paso 4: mantenga el brazo a la altura del corazón. Paso 5: esté en silencio y no hable durante la medición. Paso 6: mantenga el esfingomanómetro (brazalete) a 3 cm del codo.

Consejo: Si ha sido operada de cáncer de mama o está en diálisis, debería medir su presión arterial en el brazo contrario al de la intervención.
