Summary

Description
English: A time-lapse of a westbound trip on the Cross Bronx Expressway and adjacent expressways in New York City in the early morning of January 12, 2014.

This trip begins just south of the Throgs Neck Bridge, traveling up Interstate 295 northbound to its terminus at the Bruckner Interchange. It then merges onto Interstate 95 southbound, following the Cross Bronx Expressway and Trans-Manhattan Expressway, ending just after the George Washington Bridge into New Jersey. This trip continues in File:New Jersey Turnpike time-lapse.webm.

This time-lapse is at roughly 25x speed, with each frame representing one second. Highlights of the trip include:

  • Bronx River crossing (0:16)
  • Alexander Hamilton Bridge over the Harlem River (0:22)
