Description
English: Egg grooming behavior of Japanese termite (Reticulitermes speratus) workers in a nursery cell. Workers pick eggs from the egg pile, groom them and then return them into the egg pile. Eggs were coated with saliva and thus protected against desiccation and pathogenic infection.
