Summary

Description
English: Omoglymmius americanus (Laporte). This species is one of the seven rhysodid species-group taxa found in eastern North America. These species live in decaying wood, such as logs, stumps or roots, where they feed on slime molds and fungi. The carabids, on the other hand, are carnivorous, herbivorous, or omnivorous feeding on both animal and plant matters.
