English: A hand-turned and carved ivory chess set containing 16 black and 16 white pieces. The chessboard is made of wood with ornate floral carvings around the playing surface. The playing surface has alternating squares of ivory and wood inlay. The board is hinged in the center for storage, and inside is lined with red velvet. Gift of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Prime Minister of Pakistan. |
