June highlights from Wikimedia Serbia and beginning of new accredited seminar
Global #1Lib1Ref Learning Clinic
As the May edition of the #1Lib1Ref campaign ended, a global Learning clinic was held in collaboration with the Wikimedia Foundation, Wikimedia Argentina, and the Let’s Connect program. The session showcased a variety of tools and resources available to both organizers and participants, aiming to improve the campaign’s impact and accessibility.
Content Partnerships Hub application
Wikimedia Serbia actively supported the development of the Content Partnerships Hub proposal, alongside Wikimedia Sweden and other community partners. The goal of the Hub is to foster stronger international collaboration with cultural and heritage institutions. Wikimedia Serbia contributed through consultations, reviewing application materials, and providing feedback to ensure an inclusive proposal that will support GLAM communities.
Accredited seminar on Lifelong learning
The first accredited seminar titled “Wiki Seniors in Libraries: Librarians as creators of innovative knowledge for the third age” was successfully held. Hosted by the Children's Department “Dragan Lukić” of the Belgrade City Library, the seminar targeted library professionals interested in developing lifelong learning programs and supporting educational initiatives for older adults.
Upcoming Wikipedian in Residence in Čačak
Preparations are underway for a new Wikimedian in Residence project at the City Library "Vladislav Petković Dis" in Čačak, aiming to support knowledge sharing and digital access to cultural content.
