Wikipedian in Residence at the Nikola Tesla Museum
A one-month Wikipedian in Residence program at the Nikola Tesla Museum has successfully concluded. During this period, the resident was engaged in digitizing content related to the life and work of Nikola Tesla, resulting in the release of 150 files owned by the Museum.
Wikipedian in Residence at the National Museum in Pančevo
The Wikipedian in Residence program at the National Museum in Pančevo has been completed. During the residency, a total of 164 new articles were written and 20 were edited on the Serbian Wikipedia. Additionally, 164 new items were created on Wikidata, and 571 files were uploaded to Wikimedia Commons.
International Museum Day Competition
The competition held on the occasion of International Museum Day has come to an end, and the results will be announced in a few days. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who showed interest and participated in the competition.
Global GLAM Call Hosting
During May, Wikimedia Serbia hosted the Global GLAM Call, an online meeting that brings together participants from all over the world interested in cooperation in the fields of culture, heritage, and free knowledge. This call represents an important opportunity for exchanging experiences, presenting projects, and strengthening international cooperation within GLAM initiatives. The call is open to everyone interested, and participants will have the opportunity to hear examples of best practices and join the discussion.
Participation in the Content Partnerships Hub
Wikimedia Serbia has been actively working within the global Content Partnerships Hub initiative. This is an important program that brings together Wikimedia affiliates and volunteers worldwide who are interested in collaborating with various partners to share knowledge freely. The Hub aims to improve cooperation with organizations such as museums, libraries, archives, scientific institutions, and international organizations, ensuring their content is accessible on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects.
