Updates on work by BHLWiki Working Group members
Wikidata property proposals relevant to the BHL-Wiki working group
Brodie Hoare from the Auckland War Memorial Museum and Siobhan Leachman have been collaborating on drafting a data model for type specimen Wikidata items and also a data model for Structured Data on Commons used on specimen images. The WikiProject formed for this collaboration can be viewed at this link. This work progresses previous work undertaken by the BHL-Wiki working group documented here.
As part of this collaboration Brodie has been proposing Wikidata properties to empower the development of these data models. This month the Wikidata property proposal for “Collector” (P13914) has been accepted and the property created.
Two further properties have been proposed. The first relates to a determiner of a specimen, currently proposed as the “specimen determiner” property. The second relates to the collection date of a specimen, currently proposed as the “collection date” property. Please add your support, comments, or suggestions for improvement to these property proposals.

Error report from the BHL harvest of Author and Title identifiers from Wikidata
Work continues both by Wikidata editors and BHL cataloguers to rectify the errors raised in this report and to ensure the round tripping of identifiers both to and from the BHL catalog and Wikidata is as error free as possible.
