November edit-a-thons & meetings

Lunch and Learn in San Francisco

The Bay Area Wikipedians User Group hosted their first lunch and learn for Bay Area GLAM organizations, in collaboration with the San Francisco Historical Society.

Key highlights:

  • The lunch brought together 40 attendees, from two dozens organizations, primarily historical organizations but also libraries
  • Invites and learning materials were sent to representatives from over 50 organizations
  • We have so far started three collaborations
  • Only one of the organization present had previous engagement with Wiki Projects
