Term paper - heavy version

This is the most detailed assignment, and includes many optional activities and instructions.

• Goal: Each student, or each group of ~3 students, creates a Good Article, either from scratch or from a poor existing article

Term paper - light version

This is a simpler version of the term paper assignment, intended to minimize complexity, required classroom time, and work on the part of the professor

• Goal: Each student, or each group of ~3 students, creates a Good Article, either from scratch or from a poor existing article

Semester-long group project

• Goal: As a group, the students and professor work to improve one or several articles to Good or Featured status over the course of the semester

Month-long group project

• Goal: As a group, the students and professor work to create or expand an article to be basically comprehensive, aiming to produce a B-class article

Short group project

• Goal: As a group, the students and professor work to create or expand an article as much as possible in one week, nominating it for DYK if possible
• Time: 1 week

Short individual assignment

• Goal: Each student creates a new article or expands a stub, aiming to create a short, well-referenced overview, and nominates it for DYK
• Time: 2 weeks

Improve an article

• Goal: Each student makes a substantive improvement to an article, for example by adding or expanding an well-referenced section
