Week 6: Start Article Work

A progression for articles development may look like the following. Students:

1. Get a handle on what they’re going to write about
2. Know some of the key sources they’ll use
3. Start writing in their sandbox
4. Write a short overview of the topic—3 to 4 paragraphs
5. Move article to Wikipedia’s main space
6. Nominate it for DYK
7. Do research and turn small article into a full-fledged article, getting feedback from classmates and engaging other Wikipedia editors
8. Continue to improve the article
