Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; Het vertrek van het motorschip de "Hertog Hendrik" en de duikboot "O16" uit de haven van Den Helder voor een reis van drie maanden. Onder de aanwezigen op de onderzeeër professor F.A. Vening Meinesz, die reeds met de onderzeeër K18 een reis maakte van acht maanden. SHOTS: - onderzeeër wordt gereedgemaakt. Mediumshots onderzeeër (met opschrift "16"); - F.A. Vening Meinesz stapt aan boord van de onderzeeër en wordt begroet door de kapitein. Cu Vening Meinesz; - kapitein neemt afscheid van zijn gezin; - de bemanning in gelid op onderzeeër; - vertrek onderzeeboot uit haven, uitgezwaaid door mensen aan wal; - vertrek "Hertog Hendrik" uit de haven.
