Cooper-Hewitt collections database links to Wikipedia; brief news
The Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt, which recently released its metadata under CC0, has now unveiled their new alpha-version collection database. It includes links to Wikipedia and pulls Wikipedia content into the collection entry. (read more→)

GLAMcamp London; brief news
Over the weekend of 15-16 September 35 Wikimedians from the US and Europe gathered at the British Library in London for a weekend of GLAM planning and discussion. (read more→)

Edit-a-thons in Spain
Surreal edit-a-thon over the tomb of Salvador Dalí: Dalí is buried in the middle of an old theather, just in the exact place that an edit-a-thon was held. (read more→)

Smithsonian Institution, Brooklyn Museum and WikiAfrica

Council of Central Museums project; National Heritage Board WiR; brief news
