Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum collaboration[edit]

A couple of my fellow Wikipedians have suggested that I mention the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum collaboration to the GLAM Newsletter and, considering that I am the Wikipedian in Residence, I though that I'd mention what we've been doing together here. First of all, there is a collaboration on Wikimedia Commons that has already resulted in the uploading of over 11,000 photographs and scans of documents. Also, there is the new WikiProject Gerald Ford on English Wikipedia which has completed preliminary tagging and assessment and already had a number of successful DYK articles (as well as one more in the works), and a WikiProject on Wikisource focused on transcribing scanned documents. On top of all this, we have also had a successful edit-a-thon (photos here). I don't know how exactly all of this should be formatted, but I thought it would be nice if you could work a mention in for the collaboration in the next GLAM Newsletter. Thanks so much! (If you need or want to contact me, please leave me a message at either my English Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons talk page: just follow the link(s) from my user page here on Outreach: thanks!) I see it is added here, it seems fine to me! :-) Romaine (talk) 13:46, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Switzerland Report[edit]

May I ask you to also include the Switzerland report?. Maybe you could also set it up a pre-defined report template for the future - Many thanks. Beat Estermann (talk) 21:09, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Added! The Switzerland report will be in the newsletter. Thanks! Romaine (talk) 13:47, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

April 2013[edit]

Longest ever edit-a-thon at Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona (in Spain report)

Thanks for the suggestion, it is used in Spain report. Romaine (talk) 22:27, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

May 2013[edit]

I know that several Amsterdam hackathon participants worked on GLAM-related tools - Maarten Dammers was there, for instance! Sharihareswara (WMF) (talk) 12:03, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Example: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Thread:Talk:Amsterdam_Hackathon_2013/What_I_did_in_the_hackathon/reply_(9) Jean-Fred's work. Sharihareswara (WMF) (talk) 14:54, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your suggestion. I Personally do not have knowledge about it and it appears that the GLAM coordinator in the Netherlands has neither. Maybe it is good to have a special story purely focused on GLAM related tools, if you have knowledge or know who to write to, please do. Romaine (talk) 23:48, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
