The Wikipedia Education Program started in Jordan in 2013, following two successful terms in nearby Egypt. Since then, the program has gradually grown to reach more students in more classrooms in several universities and schools.
A new initiative at the middle and high school level is the World Between Your Hands (العالم بين يديك) working with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture to get students actively using Wikipedia. The program is in currently running a 5-school pilot in Amman. Now the only active education program in Jordan is at The Hashemite University in Jordan.
