Alan Lazalde found in 2012 the Wikimedia Amoxcalli Student Club in UAM Iztapalapa. This initiative is part of the Student Chapter of Computer Science (in Spanish, Capítulo Estudiantil de Ciencias de la Computación or CEUAMI) of the Autonomous Metropolitan University (in Spanish, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana or UAM), supported by Wikimedia Mexico. They choose the method of social service editing and promoting Wikipedia. Since their foundation, the Amoxcalli club has organized talks in local festivals about Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects.
