An invitation to participate in the "Hundred Words" campaign![edit]

Author: Jacey Mitchell

Summary:

We would like to invite you to participate in the "A Hundred Words" Campaign! In this campaign, we are creating a picture card deck that any facilitator can use for ice breakers during events and activities across the movement. To participate in the campaign, you simply choose a picture from Wikimedia Commons and submit it to a corresponding word from our word list or pin it to our Pinterest page.

Article: People often say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Pictures help us to communicate feelings and ideas across diverse cultures and beyond language barriers. The goal of this campaign is to create a deck of cards that can be used in activities at Wikimedia events throughout the movement, to help participants connect and share. In these ice-breaker activities, participants can pick a card that reflects their hopes, fears or expectations for that day, and then during a round of sharing, each person explains the card they chose. Can you help us find 100 images from Wikimedia Commons that represent "A Hundred Words"? We need your help! Participate in the "A Hundred Words Campaign" page on the evaluation portal here. Thank you!
