Within the Wikipedia in schools project in January, 20 pupils of elementary school "Jovan Sterija Popović" in Belgrade expressed their interest in participating workshop on editing Wikipedia. The idea for this kind of cooperation came from teacher Sanja Ječmenica, who was one of the participants in the accredited seminar held at this school at the end of 2017, after which she decided to direct her gained knowledge to pupils. It is planned that Wiki scholar project expands to other schools, so cooperation with the elementary school "Sveti Sava" from Kikinda and the Regional centre for talents from Belgrade is agreed. Within these workshops, more than 60 participants will go through Wikipedia editing workshop. "At the same time, we want to motivate pupils to research, enrich and write articles on Wikipedia, but also to gain functional knowledge," said Dragana Videnov, a teacher who will implement this project at Sveti Sava Elementary School in Kikinda and who also was one of the participants in the accredited seminar of the Wikimedia Serbia. Wikimedia Serbia launched this project after a long time. This project was realized for the first time during the school year 2015/16, in the cooperation with the Eighth grade at the Mathematical Gymnasium. For this project, professor Anđelka Miladinović received the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications award in 2016.
