Meet the first board of the Wikipedia & Education User Group[edit]

Summary: Wikipedia & Education User Group has elected its board for the 2018-2020 term
The Wikipedia & Education User Group elected its first board, in an election that ran from August 28 (candidates' self nomination) to October 2 (official results). The board term goes from 2018 to 2020.
The aim of this UG is "to enhance and scale local and global educational efforts, advocate for education within the Wikimedia movement, and elevate the narrative of education outside our movement". The group was recognized on 27 June 2018.
Electoral results were published in early October.
Information on meetings and action calls will be shared on the education list, so stay tuned.
Elected board[edit]
The board of the Wikipedia & Education User Group contains 5 members, so the following editors will serve on the 2018-2020 board:
- Shani Evenstein, chair
- Susanna Mkrtchyan, vice-chair
- Ananth Subray, secretary
- Filip Maljkovic, membership admin
- Krishna Chaitanya Velaga, treasurer
