Editing Wikipedia as a teaching subject was for the first time introduced as an official teaching tool in Serbia - Textbook in Informatics for the second year of high school, by authors Filip Marić, Srdjan Trajković, Duško Trifunović, Ivan Kljajić and Olivera Gračanin. This textbook (ISBN 978-86-7762-638-9) was published in 2015 in 7,000 copies, by the publishing house Klett. It has 247 pages, and the Wiki section regarding Wikipedia, covers 10 pages, from 226 to 235. Wikipedia, which was officially introduced as the official teaching tool in the curriculum of informatics as a teaching subject before the publication of the textbook, is now processed through textbook by encouraging the research spirit of pupils and adapting to the cognitive and developmental abilities of pupils. The textbook in-depth deals with the topics "About Wikipedia and Wikimedia Foundation," "The structure of Wikipedia article", "Editing Wiki article" and "The guidelines on the contents of pages in Wikipedia". Interested students have been given the opportunity to learn more about the above topics in sections "Interesting" and "Who wants to know more". Filip Marić, the author of the Wiki section, who is a long-standing contributor to the Education Program of Wikimedia Serbia, in a clear, complete and comprehensible way, has brought closer to the pupils this largest free encyclopedia. This makes it easier to systematize and acquire knowledge of Wikipedia as part of the teaching tool, which is one of the goals of the Education Program of Wikimedia Serbia, but also the entire current knowledge in informatics.
