Academic Year
The school year begins in February and ends in November.

Spanish (all the indigenous languages are official languages)
Depending on the context of the school, the first language of instruction will either be Spanish or an indigenous language (in cases where more languages are spoken by different students, a communitarian committee will decide upon the language[s] of instruction).
Types of Schools
Two types of schools in Bolivia are public schools and private schools.
School Years by age
The school grade levels are divided by the following:
Pre-primary 4-5,
Primary 6-11,
Secondary 12-17,
Tertiary 18-22;
Compulsory education lasts 14 years from age 4 to age 17
