English: H9C2 cells pretreated with EPO before induction of H/R were visualized after 8hr of hypoxia and reperfused while taking the images in time series mode of about 0.2 secs for 15 mins. In contrast, cells pretreated with EPO maintained mitochondrial membrane integrity and intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis.
