Summary

Description
English: A segment of an event, which resulted in cleaning interactions being interrupted by a manta ray (Manta sp.). Recorded by remote video 22 September 2005, on Station A, at 10:23 hours, a pelagic thresher shark interacted with cleaners over four circular-stance-swim segments before the arrival of a giant (∼2.5 m wingspan) manta ray interrupted its swim patterns in the fifth segment, causing it to leave the station. After five seconds, the shark returned and the two animals interacted with cleaners separately, over different areas of the same station, for an additional two segments.
