Bad title[edit]

The 'Start the Training' button coded as :en:w:Wikipedia:Training/For_Ambassadors|<span class="mw-ui-button mw-ui-progressive" goes to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/w:Wikipedia:Training/For_Ambassadors which is a 'Bad Title' page. Perhaps the correct destination is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Training/For_Ambassadors ? Comtebenoit (talk) 22:20, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

You're right! And the links immediately above the button had the same coding, too. Thanks for catching that and for pointing it out here. I really appreciate it, Comtebenoit. Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 12:38, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
@AKoval (WMF): - No worries, this is a wonderful resource for educators and I'm glad to be able to contribute, even in this tiny way. Comtebenoit (talk) 22:46, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

Training[edit]

@AKoval (WMF): The Campus Ambassador section refers to a 2-day training, and then later on there is mention of the on-wiki training with four modules. I'm interested to take this 2-day training, where can I find more information about it, or has that been deprecated? thanks! Comtebenoit (talk) 22:20, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi Ben. Do you recall where you read that? I didn't find any mention of a 2-day training at en:Wikipedia:Training/For Ambassadors. I'm told that the WMF global ed team used to do in-person training, but there hasn't been a 2-day training in the US in about three years, and so it would be really good to correct that so others don't wonder as well! :) You've already seen the online trainings, but their use is not universal. Different programs train ambassadors differently, so there's more than one right answer to your question. :) It depends on where you are. Your user page on en.wiki says you're in the US, which means you'll want to find out from the Wiki Education Foundation what training they might be doing. Jami Mathewson is who you want to talk to. :) All the best, Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 20:09, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
