Left to right: Detail of the emanation of fluids from the magma chamber. In the early drafts, everything had a black outline, so it was easy to confuse the fault lines with the mineralization lines. The students added a texturized background, added strata and changed the color of the magma. Later, they lightened the background texture and added texture to the magma. They added texture to the representation of the mineralization, removed the black outline and replaced it with shadowing, indicated faults with black lines different from those used to show mineralization, changed the texture of the background rock, and added a rocklike effect to the now-solidified magma.
