Enhance Digital Skills Using Wikimedia for Student/Teacher

Description[edit]

The government of Nepal had introduced National Information and Communication Technology Policy,2015 which major aim to get At least 75 percent of the population will have digital literacy skills by the end of 2020. with main slogan "Digital Nepal". Teachers are the major stakeholders to built digital literacy in nation But the ground reality of University and Teacher Prefossional development centers until confused in this senerio this projects take innitiations to Enhance Digital Skills.

Target Audience[edit]

This project Enhance Digital Skills Using Wikimedia for Student/Teacher will conduct into Tribhuvan University Faculty of Education Bachelor’s students of campus: Sanothimi Campus These campuses are produced by well-qualified teacher Students for future Teachers at School Education. Near the future, all student-teacher advocates Wikimedia project in school education. So I choose these specific audiences and other factor future teacher also helps to fulfill the digital literacy gap in 21st-century education skills.

Exiting Problems and Challenges[edit]

In the age of the digital era for equal opportunity to use digital resources but in the present status of context of Nepal digital gap between teacher and students, urban and rural, Government college and Private college... lack of access on ORE and resources and limited access of Internet. Without digital skills lack of digital reading habits. Digital divides creat a lack of hardware, motivations, awareness, and environments.

Possible Solutions to be provided by the project[edit]

Digital skills and Digital citizen is 21-century demand for all. in essential Teachers and students are the most common stakeholders for education if one person literate in the home whole family will literate in the future similar community and Nation. So, essential Digital skills demanded quality education. Wikimedia education program helps to reduce divide between digital gap.

  • To encourage to female participant become a leader.
  • To establish a wiki-leader on-premises that will facilitate all open movement in the college.
  • To improve digital literacy in local context using Wikimedia Education.
