Welcome[edit]

Welcome to our outreach wiki! Is there anything you are particularly interested in? --KathrinJ 18:12, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome :-) Pete and Philippe suggested to look around this wiki since the work overlaps with my areas of interest. In general, I'm interested in issues related to the community health of WMF projects (I worked on that issue with the the Strategic planning process.]] More specifically, I'm interested in increasing the participation of females in WMF projects. Recently, I focused my contributions on Wikipedia English on writing articles about women for Women's History Month. I'm planning on continuing working on these topics and think that the work being done here will mesh with my interests in reaching out to outside groups that are already working in this area.
Currently, I'm working on getting WikiProjects Social Movements going on Wikipedia English. User:Piotrus, who has contributed here, is interested, too. I would like to draw from outside groups to help with this WikiProject. I think that the Public Policy Initiative has enough overlap to be directly helpful. And certainly the ideas for Best Practices are useful.
That more or less covers it for now. I'm going to look around more and will leave some comments later. Again, thanks for the greeting :-) FloNight 18:55, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery[edit]

Hi FloNight, just wanted to let you know that I asked Thomas Zimmermann, the German Wikipedian who is the driving force behind the cooperation with the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery, to contact you and give you some more information about the outcome of the initiative. --Frank Schulenburg 15:54, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. FloNight 20:02, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent removal of rights[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to leave a formal note as a follow-up to an e-mail that you might received many hours ago about the removal of your rights from this site. Per a admittedly very brief discussion on the Village pump, multiple users supported cleaning up the list, both on and off the page. My goal of doing this was to get a better count of who was an active administrator, as well as purge the list in a move that is in line with other WMF wikis. However, should you still wish to be an administrator on Outreach, please leave me a message on my talk page, and I will promptly restore your rights as soon as I see the message. Thank you for your contributions to this site, and have a great day. Kevin Rutherford (talk)
