Needs your attention[edit]

Sysop rights[edit]

Hello Sage Ross :). I would like to help out here at this wiki, since it only has one active administrator. This place could be a target for vandalism. I am experienced since I am an administrator on 10 wikis on Wikia. I am trustworthy and I would not abuse the sysop tools, I am trustworthy since I do Anti-Vandalism work at Wikipedia, I have rollback rights at Simple English Wiktionary and planning to earn auto patrolled rights, I am a constructive editor at Wikiversity (See my contributions their) and I am, as mentioned here, an administrator on 10 wikis on Wikia, I also help out at Meta-Wikimedia with my reports and anti-vandalism.

Sage Ross, here's something: Telecom has other work to do at different wikis, but I am free here. So, if you will, I would like to request the sysop tools.

Another thing, I am a bureaucrat on around 5 wikis on Wikia, even though I have less than 50 edits here. Most of the admins here have less than 50 edits, just to tell you. I also have sysop and bureaucrat rights on the Orian Test Wiki and sysop rights on the Test Wiki. Thanks! --Goldenburg111 (talk) 18:24, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Goldenburg111. Sysop rights are no big deal on this wiki, and you sound like a pretty experienced wiki user, but unless I know someone well I don't like to give out the rights without a specific need. We actually have very few instances of vandalism here that require a sysop. Telecom had some very specific cleanup in mind, and I've seen them around before.--Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 01:53, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to know why, under 10 edits, the sysop rights are bequeath to them? And, thanks for clarifying, sysop rights are just a few extra buttons. I also would like you to see my sub pages. --Goldenburg111 (talk) 02:10, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
They have thousands of edits on other Wikimedia projects, and they had a specific need to do some page deletion.--Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 02:16, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Also, this editor has a controversial record on other wikis, including simple.wikipedia: m:User:Chenzw/Reports/Draubb. --Rschen7754 02:33, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I strongly oppose this request, user has a record of sockpuppetry on enwikiversity. Clearly doesn't understand what they even are for.--Jasper Deng (talk|meta) 02:39, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Jasper and Rschen. I appreciate both of you keeping an eye on things here!--Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 02:42, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I guess to answer the above and any other users to this page, the reason the admins are so inactive here is that there is so little vandalism, but we also have more than enough people with the rights at the moment (we have more crats than the English Wikipedia, based on proportions). Education program ext. updates[edit]

Hey Sage, thanks for news. These features are exactly what we needed. :) Dominikmatus (talk) 18:18, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Broken page[edit]

Hello Sage Ross! There is a page which appears as a "Broken page" on Special:PageTranslation and I was wondering if I should unmark it for translation? --WikiBronze [T] 03:19, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever it was, I just fixed it. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:38, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Thanks Kevin! --WikiBronze [T] 19:48, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
