In Mexico, all undergraduate students are required to perform a large number of community service hours in order to get their degree, divided among the various semesters that they are in school. Wikipedia has been accepted as an option under a program originally called Wiki Borregos.
In several semesters this has also included International Baccalaureate students doing Community, Action and Service hours as well as those working hours to satisfy scholarship requriements.
