Program Information

First Wikipedia Education Program @ Islington College in Nepal
From: (June (09)-July-August(05)) - 2013
The hands on session in the lab has to be carried out twice a week (Monday and Thursday for 2 hours each every week)
To retain the final 25 participants we will have to go through an extra pre-round of orientation / registration/selection-filtering round of process.
The first orientation would include 150+ participants mostly from Year-1 students on June 9th, 2013.
Firstly, we will register 50 students/participants. Who will go for three-day special session on Open Content, Wiki Edits, and wiki article improvments, we would select the most prominent 25 participants for the complete training program which would also include some faculties.
All the trainees (participants) who accomplish the course, would be awarded a certificate of accomplishion on behalf / signed by the Wikimedia Nepal and Islington College. This will be termed as "Wikipedia Driving License (WDL) ". This will be in two forms" 1.) PVC ID card and 2.) Paper Certificate Letter. The tentative amount for these certificate and ID card would be worked out and collected from participants while they register for the WEP. The tentative cost would be approx NRs 100/- only. ..

Planning to have Wikipedia Loves Jatras (WLL) in Nepal. "Bhaye Bhar ko Jatra Wikipedia ma!" (All Jatra's of Nepal in Wikipedia).
This could be a program that we can pilot run for a year or so to extent more content generation from the ground.
Perhaps lanching it on Software Freedom Day Celebration 2013 in Sepetember 21, 2013 (Saturday)
