Thank you for your application!

Quick note!

[edit]

Hi @Jwale2, Leooney:!

First of all, thank you for submitting a very detailed and ambitious application! I just wanted to let you know that the link to your team budget document has restricted access. It would be better if you changed the settings to make sure everyone with the link could view it so people don’t have to request access. If you could copy at least a summary of your budget in the application itself it would be even better! Additionally, I think it would be helpful if you could indicate in which language your activities will be conducted and which language Wikipedia will you be focusing on. Finally, I'm wondering if you are considering a strategy to evaluate the digital skills that students involved in your project will acquire. Thank you for your attention! --MGuadalupe (WMF) (talk) 02:12, 17 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi @MGuadalupe (WMF): Answers to the questions above are.

1.The link to the teams budget has been changed so everyone can access.

2. The languages area that my team and I will be focusing on is Ga and Twi Wikipedia. Partnership would be made with various language teachers in academic institution.

3. Digital skills of student would be evaluated through consistent contribution to the project by student, understanding of the project, competition among academic institution of which we partner with for the project and also evaluation of the progress of the project would be done on the Wikimedia & Education Greenhouses dashboard. Your project idea is so great, and I really like your aims and goals, a great plan with great challenges.

Submitting a summary of your expenses in wiki would be great.

How many schools and teachers that may give an interest to your project and get involved with you?

Regards. --Mohammad Hijjawi (talk) 19:57, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Mohammad Hijjawi:

1. Thanks for your compliment.

2. The deadline for submitting the project has been exhausted and for now its too late to provide the budget on the wiki page. My team and I were looking forward to add a budget summary though, but a link to the budget page has been provided without any restrictions and can be easily be accessible on the page.

3. In the project the team made mention of targeting three (3) school for the duration of the project. In each school we will be looking at targeting a language and other subject teacher/lecture who are willing to participate in the project. Two teachers would be representing the project for each school so in total the number of teachers for the project is six (6).Jwale2 (talk) 08:32, 20 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
