Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom

Education in the Morocco

This background research was conducted by Priyal Gala and Meng Zhou. Their research is helping us to understand how this project can work within the existing systems, and improve outcomes for teachers, students, and the Wikimedia movement.



The following graph is an analysis for each subject across grades to get a better understanding of the quality of Wikipedia pages and the level of difficulty in finding the articles.. Y-axis stands for average quality scale of related Wikipedia pages. X-axis stands for the level of difficulty of finding Wiki articles. (If 0-40% of topics that are taught in the curriculum can find a related Wiki pages, the level is difficult; if 40-70%, it is medium; if 70-100%, it is easy.)
