- Since the summer of 2013, a group of former Wikipedian speakers of Wikimedia Deutschland's discontinued program Wikipedia macht Schule formed the independent wiki:team network to provide programs targeted at teachers and students at the (junior) high school level. Rather then focusing on editing skills and contributions to the Wikimedia projects, the goal of wiki:team is to spread the knowledge of how Wikipedia works in order to enable both students and teachers to use the encyclopedia responsibly and critically. - From 2010 until early 2013, Wikimedia Deutschland ran Wikipedia macht Schule, a program for students (junior high school and high school) as well as teachers.
