Connected Open Heritage; Critiquing social norms with free images

During July in Connected Open Heritage some activities and some vacation took place. Among the activities:

the upload of images from Gruppo Archeologico Romano were finished (but they could still use some descriptions in English)
Axel attended the Swiss Open Cultural Data Hackathon and talked about the project and the benefits of using Wikidata. There is also a full report on the Hackathon
John C created one template for adding open-source text to articles (more about adding open licenced text here) and one template for populating world heritage sites with information from Wikidata.

As part of the Stockholm Pride week Wikimedia Sweden, some museums (Historical museum, LSH, National Museum of Fine Arts, The Unstraight Museum) and the National Library hosted a workshop around a photo project taken by Tomas Gunnarsson, Genusfotografen in partnership with Wikimedia Sweden. Images were uploaded to Commons and included in articles and there were a presentation (in Swedish) about how to include and represent human diversity in encyclopedic content and free knowledge.
