E-mail account issue

Once a month the newsletter This Month in GLAM is sent out, including two Wikimedia mailing lists. For this a Gmail account is used (and only for this). Sadly this account has been disabled as it would violate the Google's policies somehow, however unclear how it has violated the policies. An appeal has been submitted, but not yet been processed. As long as the account has been disabled, please send e-mails to me instead.

As a result of this, the Twitter account used to promote the stories from the newsletter is also inaccessible.

Update 19 June 2023: access to Gmail and Twitter has been restored.

Other prominent independent mailing lists face similar issues now and we should all review both use of existing gmail and list services. I am hopeful of switching to Discourse that supports both web forum mode and email delivery+replies. --Zblace (talk) 19:07, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
