Subject: Heritage Institutions in the Internet Era - Take Part in the Survey!

Dear Sir / Madam,
Dear colleague,

Cultural heritage institutions are developing and transforming – especially with regard to their online activities. The possibility of making data and content 'freely' available on the Internet and new forms of online collaboration represent not only numerous opportunities for heritage institutions but also many new challenges.

Bern University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with local teams are undertaking a survey among heritage institutions in more than 20 countries in order to gain an overview of how the institutions are adapting to new trends and in order to develop tailor-made support programmes as and where needed. The results of the survey will be made available to the general public and provide heritage institutions with an excellent tool to see where they stand compared to other institutions in our country and abroad.

We would be delighted if you would take a few moments to answer the questions. Filling-in the questionnaire will take about 20-40 minutes, depending on the information you readily have at hand.

We very much hope that you will be able to support this work. It is only by understanding how organisations such as yours are developing that we, as a community, can work out where to focus our efforts.

Cordiali saluti,
