Talk:GLAM/Model projects/GLAM events

For a long time, this one page has been the main destination for people interested in four different topics:

  • GLAM-Wiki conferences
  • GLAMcamps
  • Edit-a-thons
  • Backstage Pass events

A while ago, I created a separate page for Edit-a-thons, because it's often useful to have a page that is very direct and to the point about the specific event proposed. Well linked, of course. (Also, one that is outside the GLAM sphere, because edit-a-thons need not be linked with a GLAM.)

I just created a new page for Backstage Pass, and it occurs to me that each of these four concepts could really use its own dedicated page. I think having all four presented together is great in many contexts, but there are times when it can be useful to have a very simple and to-the-point page, when building enthusiasm around planning an event, or explaining what the event is.

Any thoughts about this? -Pete (talk) 16:34, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
