Hello Piotrus and welcome to the Outreach Wiki!
Our mission is to recruit and support new Wikimedians and to build strong relationships with cultural and educational institutions. Want to help? Here are ways that you can get involved:
- Indicate your languages and skills on your user page so we know how you can best help!
- Review the bookshelf materials, help with localization and add your feedback.
- Learn about our work with cultural institutions, educational institutions, and libraries.
The Village pump is a great place to ask questions. Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you like Outreach Wiki and decide to stay!

Hello :)
[edit]Hello, Piotrus.
My name is Anna Koval. I'm the manager of the Wikipedia Education Program who is coordinating programs in Asia. It's an honor to meet you. I've heard wonderful things about you from LiAnna. And, I have to say, I'm a little awestruck. Your dedication to Wikipedia is humbling. Your commitment to using it in your teaching is inspiring. I've watchlisted your two fall course pages on English Wikipedia, and I'm looking forward to following your students' progress. Perhaps I could be an honorary online ambassador for them?
I'd love to talk with you in greater detail about your work with the education program to date, your plans, and your needs to see how I may be able to support you. I'd also like to learn more about the landscape in Korea and other opportunities that there may be there for Wikipedia in Education. But I suspect that you may be busy with back-to-school planning and prepping. When you have an opportunity, maybe we could talk via Skype or Google Hangout. Please email me at akovalwikimedia.org or message me on my talk page to schedule a meeting.
In the meantime, I've updated Korea's education program page here on Outreach wiki: Education/Countries/Korea. Please take a look and add any information that might be missing. Thank you very much! All the best, Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 19:56, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

Possible removal of user rights
[edit]Per this Village pump thread and our Wikimedia:Inactivity policy, you are subject to having your advanced user rights removed. If you are interested in keeping them, you must respond here within 30 days using {{Ping|Koavf}} and explain that you'd like to keep them. If the rights are removed and you want to get them back later, you will have to lodge a formal request. Thank you. Koavf (talk) 07:46, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Koavf: Suuure.... but which user rights? On which project? --Piotrus (talk) 09:45, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- This one. Did you read the linked pages? Koavf (talk) 09:50, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Koavf Yes, but am I am an admin or bureaucrat anywhere?? All I can remember is that I got some rights to auto-confirm accounts by my students a while ago... so please tell me directly what rights of mine are about to lapse and on which project. Piotrus (talk) 10:15, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- Admin rights on this project. Special:UserRights/Piotrus Koavf (talk) 10:16, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Koavf Ha. I don't recall ever using them, nor needing them, so I can't think of any argument to warrant keeping them. I guess I was somewhat active here when outreach wiki started, but clearly this is not the case now. Unless someone tells me what I can do to help here as an admin, those tools are not something I need nor plan on using. Piotrus (talk) 10:23, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Thanks, P. Koavf (talk) 10:28, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
