Connected Open Heritage images
By1284 images uploaded from the Sigvald Linné 1930ies archeological expeditions in Teotihuacan, Mexico
As a part of the Connected Open Heritage project we've initiated a cooperation with the National Museums of World Cultures in Sweden. The first batchupload of two planned did bring 1315[1] 1284 high-resolution images onto Commons. We're very happy to see that several of the images has already come to use thanks to Léna who created a nice gallery and added to the French and English Wikipedia articles about Teotihuacan! Part of that story is also the Twitterbot that André Costa quickly set up in a sudden burst of inspiration that posts example images as they go up from here. The collection includes many images of the famous pyramids and temples of the area, but also many examples of Precolumbian art that Sigvald Linné, who lead the expedition, published several articles and books about wich awarded him several awards and make him still relevant. The images from the batchupload can be found here.

World Wide Wikipedia comes to en end
The two day tour to Malmö December 1-2 marked the end of the World Wide Wikipedia project hosted by Riksutställningar and Riksantikvarieämbetet. The 13 participants there made the total of the four workshops go up to 46 and for the presentations the number of participants during the year ended up at almost 100. The idea of having one day with presentations aimed at managers and one day with a workshop with the goal of getting curators and subject matter experts to start editing articles and uploading images has worked out well as both the management level and the people actually doing the editing get the information and skillset needed to prioritize the work and to also start working. As always the problem is to keep prioritizing and put in the required time afterwords, but by reaching out not only to either managers or editors our hope is that sharing knowledge and material through the Wikimedia projects stays in focus.
