William Blake in Kansas? Beginnings.
Beach Museum, Blake Archive and documenting DH GLAM-Wiki
Alex Stinson (User:Sadads) gave a presentation at the at Kansas State University on "Thinking about Wikipedia and Academia" (PREZI available at this link). In the presentation he explored a group of 15 people related to the university and the Beach about how to approach Wikipedia and Wikipedia activities. The event hosted by Adrienne Russel of the US GLAM WIKI Consortium Advisory Board and the Public Programs Coordinator for the Beach Museum. The event is the first GLAM-Wiki event in Kansas (the previous NARA Editathon in Kansas City is in Missouri).
The presentation is the first part of Stinson's GLAM-Wiki internship with the Blake Archive William Blake Archive, a digital humanities project. The internship will be to explore using GLAM-Wiki with Digital Humanities projects and support further collaboration within the University, including on campus GLAMs, like the Beach Museum and the Library, and an Education Program assignment. The first in community update for the project is available at on English Wikipedia. Also, part of the internship is to improve documentation and communication of GLAM-Wiki activities to the Digital Humanities community.
